Staff at the Alley Cat restaurant are super friendly, this hidden little gem has lovely Vietnamese ???????? food. I recommend having the PHO BO beef noodles soup it’s delicious, freshly cooked, superb, just VND 69,000. Spoke with staff, whom confirmed new opening hours are 0800 to 2200 hours. Recommended restaurant 5 stars!

The Alley Cat Restaurant is a charming little spot tucked away in an alley in HCMC that feels just like home. The food had a comforting, home-cooked vibe, and the portions were generous for the price. The pineapple rice was especially tasty – well-cooked and packed with ingredients. The Vietnamese pork curry was decent, though not as memorable. What really stood out was the friendly service and relaxed, cozy ambiance. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy a hearty, no-fuss meal. Would definitely come back for the pineapple rice and chill atmosphere!
Yum yum yum!!!!! So flavorful and such a big portion!!! Filled with delicious vegetables and meat. The women that work there are so helpful, friendly and sweet!!! The restaurant is clean and cozy and if you are lucky you are greeted by some lovely kitties! 10/10! Will definitely come back
Great experience! They have cats here so that’s also a bonus. Owners were playing with them so it was fun to watch hehe. Their food was also very nice. It was a bit expensive compared to other places we had been to but it was worth it. Ordered Pho Bo, Morning glory, Bun Thit Nuong, spring rolls and their honey lemon smoothie. Total costed us $20.00AUD
A fantastic spot to eat in District 1! The food is always fresh and cooked to order. I have dined here multiple times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Both their Vietnamese and American dishes are consistently excellent. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about their guests. On one occasion, I accidentally left my phone behind, and they kept it safe until I returned. That kind of honesty and service is so nice to find. Highly recommended!
Just had the most delicious pork bowl ever. The cutlet was like schnitzel, soft, tender, full of delicious flavour. The rice under was also very delicious, not just plain rice. Beer and 'rum and coke' specials also very good. Will be back! Edit; am back a month later. Had the tomato soup and, couldn't help myself, the pork cutlet bowl again! I was not disappointed! Will be back again tomorrow morning to try the full english breakfast.
Had the best meal in Vietnam in this restaurant!! The food was amazing authentic and delicious. We had the Bánh Xèo (Vietnamese pancake) which was amazing packed with lots of meat and flavour ! The pineapple fried rice was also very flavourful and in a beautiful presentation. The Vietnamese’s curry had strong flavour and tender chicken all generous portions sizes They also serve breakfast. Good place for any time meal. Very affordable 50-150k This restaurant is run by a mother and daughter who prepare all the food themselves. Speak very good English, easy to order and very accomodating and friendly. The place had a quaint calming atmosphere. Maintained and clean. There was a cute cat that sat on the floor by our table Location is down an alleyway easy to find ! A perfect small place for a meal or snack a must go to !
